A Blogging Goodbye

Dear AP English 12 Students,
      Two years after the difficult path of AP English began, we finally come to the end of the road. The countless hours we spent on SOAPSTones and Data Sheets draw to a close as we prepare to move on to college. What can we do other then remember the Multiple Choice Games and the countless Dear Journal references in the class. Look back on the books we read, from Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl to In Cold Blood and this year, Othello to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, even Everything Matters! and the sometimes awkward sometimes funny discussions that invariably followed the books. We can moan and gripe about disliking the class but if we really disliked AP English we would have stopped after AP English 11. Between the interesting class discussions and the interesting book choices and event the field trip to see Othello, I think we can all say we have enjoyed the class. The fun times spent shouting quotes at each other from across the room in other classes will stay as funny memories for us, and annoying memories for the others who were stuck listening. I think the main people who will be grateful we finished AP English 12 will be our friends who no longer have to listen to us talk about the class. So to all the AP English 12 Students, good luck with college and enjoy the memories of this funny yet challenging class we all struggled through.
